The best way to get to the tennis park is to use mass transit, with the subway in particular. Alternatively, taking a taxi is also a good option. 

The closest airport to the US Open is LaGuardia Airport (LGA). This airport is located just 3 miles away from the venue. However, you can also fly to the John F. Kennedy airport, as it offers more international flights. 

Typically, for a day session it is around 09:30am. The earliest possibility to enter the grounds for the evening session is 6:00pm. 

In general, the evening sessions are more exciting, but it all depends on your preferences/time schedule.

The US Open is played on hardcourt surfaces, specifically something that is called DecoTurf, which is known for its speed and consistency.
